A quick question regarding the "Allow player to choose NPC proficiencies and skills"-component and Coran... Coran as a fighter/thief has - contrary to the rules - a third proficiency point in bows or rather long bow in TUTU. Will I still be able to assign him the third proficieny point with this component installed?

Nope. SCS enforces the standard rules rigidly, more because I hadn't really noticed that anyone broke them than because I think it matters. I might look into coding up the exceptions; until then, as a workaround either

i) uninstall SCS just before going to the Cloakwood and reinstall it after you arrive; or
ii) install the component from TutuTweaks that lets all classes multi-specialise.
