I didn't see either of the files touched on in the IWD fixpack so I'm bringing this to attention here. Possible code to fix (needs tested) is posted in the SHS thread.

It's been mentioned here - the Tybald Dunn thread a few posts below.

I kinda like it, myself. "Sin has it's consequences." :)
It is an outrage that they should be commonly spoken of as Intellectuals. This gives them the chance to say that he who attacks them attacks Intelligence. It is not so. . . . It is not excess of thought but defect of fertile and generous emotion that marks them out. Their heads are no bigger than the ordinary: it is the atrophy of the chest beneath that makes them seem so.

And all the time, such is the tragi-comedy of our situation, we continue to clamour for those very qualities we are rendering impossible. . . . In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.

this was mentioned in a thread in the General Mod Discussion section...

Seems that when the GTU is installed (at least English) the voice over on the intro scrolling text that shows between character creation and Hrothgar's cutscene/dialog with the player is no longer there.

Did some digging and strref 14454 is replaced with what seems to be an identical text but without the associated NARR_PL sound file. When you add [NARR_PL] after the string in the gtu.tra file, the voice over plays properly when the GTU component is installed.

The Ambere bug and narration bug are both fixed in v2.

What makes a good man go neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?
