I just want to express how much I love Gavin, in both BG and BG2! He's very well written and seamlessly integrates into my party. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he was one of the default characters. Plus, it's nice to have Lathander get represented by a character. There seems to be a lot of Helm followers in BG (Ajantis, Anomen, Keldorn) so it's refreshing to have another take on a separate religion, plus I always play a follower of Lathander myself. All glory to the Morninglord!
The other modded NPC I got before, while very useful, just seemed to be geared toward making Anomen look like a fool. While it may be the unpopular opinion, I really love Anomen, so I kind of lost interest in that character. So, hooray a romance that doesn't feel the need to put the competition down.
I can't wait for the ToB portions to be done, and eagerly await them.
