Hi all,

Having trouble getting Baldur's Gate I no expansions, working on my Captivate, Galaxy S based phone.

I installed GemRB on the phone, it seems to be working correctly, it installs to the directory specified and all that. I copied the fully installed game from my computer to the net.sourceforge.gemrb directory and moved the exe's to a backup folder. It does the same thing no matter how I set up the config file, it always quites back to the home screen after the opening GemRB config screen. Here is the log from GemRB start to when it goes back to the home screen.

Can someone help? I consider myself slightly tech savy but when it comes to phones or hand held devices im out of my league, also would someone be willing to post what my config should look like, the entire installed game files are in sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb/ . Here is what my config looks like, minus the added instructions.

Chitin.key is part of the original resources.
You should do a full game installation on PC and copy resources from game folder to your device.

GamePath=./sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb
seems to be strange (but i've never used Android).

Why is it a relative path?

Anyway, you need chitin.key to be present as ./sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb/chitin.key

Oh, you are right. Game path must be ./ (relative) or /sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb/ (absolute).

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the Chitin.key file is in the directory with the rest of the game, so im not sure why its causing an error, I guess I could try to re-install and re-copy it to my phone.

Also the link you provided sends me to my own post, not sure if that was intended or not.

Relative path? I have no idea what you mean, do you mean the "./" thing, I just left that there, I dont know how it should look, thats probably part of the problem.

Ok then, what ive gathered from your answers my Dir path should look like: "GamePath=/sdcard/app-data/net.sourceforge.gemrb" and somthing is wrong with my chitin.key file.

If someone could show me their GemRB.cfg file for a working game, just to be sure I have it right.

Thank you

yes, removing that dot should be enough.

Mages needed! Python tamers needed for iwd2!

yes, removing that dot should be enough.

If that dot is indeed a problem, then the cache path should also be fixed.
