This is a brilliant idea, I've always wanted my Knight of Right and Might to have an alternative besides some sneaky thieves and the foul undead, no matter how morally ambiguous they are.

Now back to topic, this project hasn't had any signs of life recently but has not been put as inactive, would it be too much to ask for a "Yes, we are still alive!" and a ghost of a progress report, cheers.

Hi, I have not seen either Andyr or Nightmare for a while. The last post in the workrooms related to any sort of work being done by them dates back to 2006. I am not working on any content that does not pertain to maintaining Kivan. To be honest, I wouldn't advise anyone to hold their breath for anything significant to come out any time in the foreseeable future (next decade).

Kinda bad..I (Ellderon) just got back to BG2 modding and made the Holy Avenger paladin kit that LOI was supposed to use. Oh well, no sense in letting it go to waste.

Both my free time and interest in IE modding have decreased dramatically over the past few years, but I do hope to one day get some form of LoI related release out. For a while now, I've been considering splitting the project into two. The first part would consist of things like new/altered items, revised creature scripts, and perhaps some additional dialogue for minor characters; basically stuff that's already been done, or is well on the way to being done.

The second part would consist of things like joinable party members, new areas, quests, etc; in other words, the stuff that would require a LOT of work to be properly implemented. The catch is that this part would not actually be a mod for BG2, but would instead be a series of connected pen 'n' paper adventure modules (the idea being that this would cut out a large percentage of the required work). For example, one module might be entitled "The Siege of Murann", and focus on that aspect of LoI, while another might be "The King of Amn" and revolve around the royalist plot.

I was really hoping to play this mod. I understand that you might not have the time or now the interest to mod for IE games. I would really hope you can release something. An items and dialogue mod would be a nice addition to ToB. If you have areas and some quests almost finished, please finish them and release them as modules for BG2, ToB or even as standalone modules. Why not just add the quests to either BG2 or ToB as they fit best? They would work better than SoBH Module (being set in Anm and the south Faerun) and it works well enough. The WorldMap mod could handle the areas needed.

Thanks for all you have contributed to BG Modding!

NiGHTMARE, if you no longer have time or interest, you might also make the unfinished bits available to modders like Chev who could work on finishing them. I think there's certainly enough content to warrant it. I know this applies to Andyr and his work too.

I do have the graphics for several new areas, but I don't have any other things neccessary for those graphics to actually be working areas (light maps, and the like). If some else wants the graphics and is willing to do the neccessary work, though, feel free to ask!

As for quests, there are some minor ones that I hope to finish off myself. The major quests generally only consist of plot outlines and various dialogue trees, and several of them are dependent on new areas that haven't even got graphics.

Unfortunately, my time will be pretty limited over the next few months, but I think someone with even minimal graphics skill might be able to take a shot at the wallgroups etc. using Compton's bmp2polylist tool.
