First of all, thanks a lot for IWD UB, good to see that this old jewel gets tossed another bone.
My problem is Marketh, I have no idea what to do with him. I have talked to everybody and explored every container without result- he has nothing to pickpocket and doesn't seem to take damage from backstabs- what am I supposed to do to get that damn ring off his finger? A hint would be very nice -
thank you

Wait, wait, Marketh's ring is *cursed* - it's not supposed to be on his finger, he only uses it for tricking you... right?

Man, I'm really hating Marketh right now
Just a couple of things that I think should be fixed (and since they are from the Marketh Added Quest I'll just post them here):
1. Ginafae doen's give me ANY hint about the ring
Well anyway I left the place and decided to do a little "check on the area" looking for Marketh so that I know where he is for the next time... I found myself been attacked by thief in the northern zone of the main area of Dorn's Deep. According to the fixes, there were a couple of thief appearing over each other or something (I'm not sure, maybe it was about another similar issue). I found nearly everyone of those thief on top of another one. I couldn't even click on them, and had to use area spells to kill them... the worst is that when one of them died, the other was free to attack, but I couldn't attack him UNLESS I had within the my range the body of the other thief
I even thought about been the same thief but duplicated. The first one of the "unleashed" thief that I killed, ended up in been attacking another thief, then, my character attacked the one I clicked. I don't now if this is a UB or Fixpack problem really, but I think it really needs to be fix
Well, I'm off to keep on searching for Marketh
I just hope he is not near Malavon or Perdiem (haven't take care of those yet
)

Oops, forgot about something else... Marketh's sketch is also used (at least that's what I read) if you have a bard in your party and talk to the guy who drew it (one of his bodyguards) so he just quits and goes for a life as an artist. I'm mencioning it because, well, my sketch dissappear. And unless Norl actually gives it back, players who didn't use the sketch yet could lose some extra xp (though in order to reach Marketh you probably already talked to Flezum...).

Hi.
I have the same problems as mentioned above.
- When I talk to Ginafae she asks "Did you think of something about the ring?" and there are only the two "bye/farewell" options in the dialog (i.e. nothing happens)
- Even after I went to Norl and and went through that dialog, Ginafae still replies like above. So, I guess this is somehow broken.
- When going to Marketh upstairs, there's not a lot of dialog, no option to just tell him to hand over his stuff, and at the end he teleports away, and I have no idea where to find him.
I guess that Ginafae is supposed to do something after talking to Norl, but she doesn't. So... any idea how I can continue this game?
I haven't done everything in Lower Dorn's Deep though, I guess I'll leave Marketh until the end, maybe something changes in the meantime.
Aslain Melemir, if you've managed to find/kill Marketh please tell me where/how.

Well, before I wait an eternity or 2 for someone to look into this particular sub-forum, I decided to try uninstalling that particular UB component (Marketh's Ring).
And, while the dialog with Ginafae was *really* broken then, I could talk to Marketh normally, make him hand over his badge and leave, and then go to Ginafae and give her the oil. So everything worked out it seems. Hope there won't be any other problems arising from this.

cemeth, after I received the fake ring, I gave it to Ginafae and she told me to come back in a while. Then, after a day I think, I went to see Marketh and he couldn't teleport... he attacked, and obviously died
Unless you can spend a lifetime in this chapter, which i cannot, use cheat console to create the tablets.. not offensive in any way but this was the most frustrating and boring part in the entire infinite engine series.. Zzzz

You need to enlist Ginafae's help first, as she's the key to getting his ring. She should also provide a hint as to where to go next.
I never got any dialogue options with Ginafae to this effect. Reloaded and tried every single option in the dialogue tree, to no avail. I also never saw Marketh again even though I scoured every square inch of LDD. I just ended up using the console to give myself the badge.
Did I miss something, or is this whole sequence broken?
